Illusion Night

Illusion Night is an engaging event where science of vision comes alive. Open to all, it features a range of interactive experiences from visual illusions to demonstrations of cutting-edge research techniques such as mobile eye-tracking and virtual reality, all presented by researchers attending the European Conference for Visual Perception in Aberdeen. The evening also includes a scientific magic show, offering insights into visual perception and attention.







Aberdeen Art Gallery was the winner of the 2021 RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award and is home to one of the finest art collections in the country. The collection spans 700 years and includes a staggering range of works by local, national and international artists, designers and makers. Highlights of the displays include works by Joan Eardley, the Scottish Colourists, Francis Bacon, Tracey Emin, Claude Monet and Barbara Hepworth.
