Illusion Night is an engaging event where science of vision comes alive. Open to all, it features a range of interactive experiences from visual illusions to demonstrations of cutting-edge research techniques such as mobile eye-tracking and virtual reality, all presented by researchers attending the European Conference for Visual Perception in Aberdeen. The evening also includes a scientific magic show, offering insights into visual perception and attention. Please email illusion_night@abdn.ac.uk for any enquiries.

All illusions will run continuously from 7pm to 10pm, except Vision’s Chainsaw by Patrick Cavanagh and Stuart Anstis (7pm–8:25pm) and the 30-minute presentation “Visual and Non-Visual Illusions in Magic” by Vebjørn Ekroll which will start at 8:30pm and at 9pm.
