Getting to P&J Live

P&J Live, the main conference venue for ECVP 2024, is located close to Aberdeen International Airport, six miles northwest of the city centre, and just a few short minutes from the city’s new western peripheral route.

By Bus (recommended option)

You will receive free Stagecoach daily bus tickets for use while you are at the conference (from Sunday 25th to Thursday 29th).

Stagecoach – Jet Service 727:
Bus line 727 runs up to every 10-15 minutes Monday to Friday and every 30 minutes Saturday/Sunday. Travel from Aberdeen city centre to P&J Live takes around 25-30 minutes. Other bus services operate a short walk from P&J Live, and stop on the Inverurie Road which runs alongside P&J Live.

As part of your free bus travel, you can board the following services: 727, X9, 61, 62, 68, X60, X63, X67 and X68. All operate a regular service throughout the day and can be tracked via the Stagecoach app.

  1. Download the Stagecoach Bus App on App Store or Android. This will allow you to plan your journey and track coming buses and nearby bus stops. 
  2. Find your nearest bus stop (see printed schedule you will receive at the Opening Reception). Stagecoach have provided a map of hotels and where the nearest bus stops are for the 727 service. You can also find them on the Stagecoach App. 
  3. Board the bus. Please ensure you have your (1) ECVP 2024 delegate badge, (2) ECVP bag, or (3) ECVP app handy and show one of them to the driver. The bus driver will then allow you to board the bus.

By Taxi

There is a taxis pick-up and drop-off point located on the P&J Live site. Aberdeen does not have Uber, but there are various Taxi services operating in Aberdeen that can help you travel around whilst you’re here.

Daytime taxi ranks (5am to midnight):

– Exchequer Row (at the Grosvenor Casino, 5 Exchequer Row, Aberdeen AB11 5BW)

Night time taxi ranks (midnight to 5am):
– 347 Union Street (at the 8848 Restaurant and Bar)
– 262 Union Street (at the Nat West bank and near Gilcomston Church and Summer Street)
– 86 Union Street (at Timpson’s and near the Correction Wynd Steps)
– Castle Street (at the bottom of Union Street by The Green Mannie statue and near The Wig pub)

By Rail

P&J Live is 1.5 miles from Dyce Train Station, which offers regular connections north and south for event visitors travelling by rail. Dyce is on the Aberdeen-Elgin-Inverness line, and is also served by some through trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dyce station is unstaffed but tickets can be bought on the train. Trains run at least once an hour Monday to Saturday, less frequently on Sundays. For more information and to book tickets, visit the Scotrail website or Trainline.

By Car

P&J Live is conveniently situated for motorists, about 6 miles north-west of the city centre and easily reached from the A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road. Please note that the P&J is referred to on road signs as TECA. Please enter via Dyce Drive or A96 if travelling southbound, as other entry points are bus gates only. You may exit via all three exits, at the A96, Dyce Drive and Wellheads Drive.

By Foot

The Conference Venue is 1.5 miles (15-minute walk) from both Aberdeen International Airport and Dyce Train Station. Please note that we do not recommend to walk to the venue from the Aberdeen city centre (5 miles/8 km on busy roads).
